Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kurt Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierluigi Buffon having to interfere. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KaoS Futbol Club's zone, Kurt Brogren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierluigi Buffon came out of the goal and Kurt Brogren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Joakim Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brogren in the 19th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Brogren in the 22nd minute of the match. Daniel Alrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lluis Companys in the 23rd minute. Igor Lebas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Daniel Alrot made a huge save. A throw-in in the 26th minute of the game was made by Dobromir Kaczucha with Noel Hargrave as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 28th minute, Benicio Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Noel Hargrave had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. A beautiful save bye KaoS Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Lebas was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Alrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluis Companys in the 52nd minute of play. Candido Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierluigi Buffon having to interfere. Joakim Mattsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pierluigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Brogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierluigi Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Brogren ran back to his position shaking his head. Mellbystrand IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Konrad Nordin in the 64th minute. A nice corner shot did that Candido Urbes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pierluigi Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brogren in the 66th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KaoS Futbol Club made a substitution. Andres Baresi replaced León Ponzio. Kurt Brogren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Pierluigi Buffon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Kurt Brogren made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pierluigi Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joakim Mattsson in the 76th minute. Daniel Alrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Noe in the 77th minute of the match. Daniel Alrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Tabb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Brogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Noe came free, but Daniel Alrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Brogren in the 92nd minute of play. Narciso Noe took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Alrot. Daniel Alrot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
