Abel de Lara hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Arthur dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Gaston Bitze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Intxixu Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Gaston Bitze notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon. Intxixu Porregimon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Intxixu Porregimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Ziya Ruhittin in the 15th minute of the match. FC BARCELONA's Ian Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anaia Barba in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Bitze in the 21st minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Gaston Bitze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Intxixu Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Nogueira came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba. But to his dismay, Anaia Barba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ian Nogueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Romero in the 32nd minute. Ian Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaia Barba in the 39th minute of play. If Yusuf Ziya Ruhittin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BARCELONA's goalkeeper Ian Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Pernambucano got free with Ian Nogueira in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yusuf Ziya Ruhittin was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA's Faustino Ferrando got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 55th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel de Lara to maneuver through the defense. FC BARCELONA were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Mexilhão F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yetkiner Refah took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie and right to Jan-Pieter De Poorter. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mexilhão F. C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yetkiner Refah during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yetkiner Refah hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Gaston Bitze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Germano Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC BARCELONA getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Yetkiner Refah hit a great ball. Jan-Pieter De Poorter hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ian Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to FC BARCELONA getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Faustino Ferrando hit a great ball. Gaston Bitze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Intxixu Porregimon having to interfere. Ian Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Mexilhão F. C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
