The referee ignored Goianésia E.C's protests and gave Tomasz Poniewaz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Goianésia E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Poniewaz to maneuver through the defense. Arvin Bollström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Trigo in the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabi Gol in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arvin Bollström saved Ekerö IF from getting behind. With a little luck, Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek got control of the ball when Bengt-Arne Biörnberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Kertész in the 16th minute of play forced Ekerö IF's goalkeeper Arvin Bollström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Gabi Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekerö IF's Arvin Bollström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ekerö IF's Arvin Bollström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Gol in the 29th minute of play. Arvin Bollström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Trigo in the 36th minute of play. Norbert Balonek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Biörnberg in the 42nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Ziemowit Podolski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek did a great save. Goianésia E.C's Gabi Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabi Gol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Arvin Bollström managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Goianésia E.C's Gabi Gol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Diego Almeida hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Andreas Siöman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Norbert Balonek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Biörnberg came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match Ekerö IF got a corner. Goianésia E.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ziemowit Podolski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Aquiles Lizar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Norbert Balonek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 70 minutes, Andreas Siöman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekerö IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Siöman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Norbert Balonek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Siöman in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Andreas Siöman made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Balonek. Goianésia E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Arvin Bollström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabi Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Ekerö IF's goal looked a bit too open when Attila Kertész came free, but Arvin Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
