Jean-Marie Sanquer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean-Marie Sanquer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Vodanovic in the 5th minute of play. Aurelio Vodanovic struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jean-Marie Sanquer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almazarrón. Hercule Basque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franco Bellucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armand Mondon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Perthes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Starri Pramer to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Vodanovic in the 14th minute of the match. Amancio Harroyo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Aurelio Vodanovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes Perthes United got a freekick which was hit by Édouard Vie. Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Candamil in the 25th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, Perthes United's Loïc Curt made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Bellucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Vodanovic in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Marie Sanquer saved Perthes United from getting behind. Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astrit Melisarov in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Astrit Melisarov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Marie Sanquer was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astrit Melisarov in the 43rd minute of play forced Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Aurelio Vodanovic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almazarrón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armand Mondon to make the kick off. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astrit Melisarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Vodanovic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Marie Sanquer was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Almazarrón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Astrit Melisarov in the 52nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Astrit Melisarov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Marie Sanquer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 53 played minutes Perthes United got a freekick which was hit by Bart De Castro. In the 54th minute Aurelio Vodanovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Sanquer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Almazarrón got a corner. Perthes United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Astrit Melisarov ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 63 minutes of play, Perthes United's Bart De Castro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Bellucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Vodanovic in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Perthes United's goal looked a bit too open when Astrit Melisarov came free, but Jean-Marie Sanquer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Astrit Melisarov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almazarrón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astrit Melisarov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Almazarrón's Astrit Melisarov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Marie Sanquer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Perthes United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aurelio Vodanovic fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Atilano Ruisko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Bellucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loïc Curt in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astrit Melisarov.
