The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sixto Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Paulino Lamberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celedonio Seguinus during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Echegoyen AFC's Celedonio Seguinus got a free kick in the 45th minute. Paulino Lamberto took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Ekialde. Alfonso Ekialde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Lamberto to strike the kick off in the second half. Echegoyen AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Paulino Lamberto scored to the left of an out of position Alfonso Ekialde, making the score, 0-6. In the 59th minute, Echegoyen AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luciano Selmo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Carmelo Osoitz took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Alfonso Ekialde to make any attempt to save it. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Marcial Munio replaced Filomeno Tonio. 73 minutes into the match, Echegoyen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Munio came free, but Alfonso Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Munio in the 76th minute of play. Alfonso Ekialde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcial Munio's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Echegoyen AFC's Celedonio Seguinus got a free kick in the 79th minute. Marcial Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alfonso Ekialde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Marcial Munio sped through Echegoyen AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonso Ekialde. In the 94th minute Marcial Munio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Munio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Ekialde saved Echegoyen AFC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcial Munio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfonso Ekialde. That made the score 0-10 in the 96 minute of play.
