With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lütfü Mürsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aguirres's Eduardo Jerano was substituted for Apolo Paez. Dorian Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Dorian Moraes made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fenerbahçe's Lütfü Mürsel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Eduardo Jerano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fenerbahçe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Sedat Nasreddin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Miro Rohrer managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Fenerbahçe's Freddy Cordarrell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Lucjan Kiewra fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguirres's protests and gave Lucjan Kiewra a yellow card for diving instead. Lucjan Kiewra hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mário Pinho hit a great ball. Dorian Moraes took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lütfü Mürsel. Lütfü Mürsel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Fenerbahçe's Lütfü Mürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Moraes in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Aguirres got a corner. Fenerbahçe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Ihazintu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Freddy Cordarrell struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Miro Rohrer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe.
