The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Pedrão de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Doni das Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Doni das Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save TEIXEIRINHA FC from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by TEIXEIRINHA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christer Bratt was slow to take the kick. During this time SoS FC's players had a chance to rest. SoS FC's Eduard Gâgea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Doni das Neves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedrão de Amorim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Doni das Neves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedrão de Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doni das Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Anderson Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Karl-Erik Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni das Neves made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Pedrão de Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Pedrão de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doni das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrão de Amorim in the 25th minute. João de Salles's late challenge caught a SoS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. 31 minutes into the match, Pedrão de Amorim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Doni das Neves, 2-0. With his leg Doni das Neves managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when SoS FC's Pedrão de Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Finsberg in the 38th minute of play forced SoS FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Resulhan Ulvi in the 48th minute of play forced SoS FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrão de Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SoS FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Larsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Finsberg. Karl-Erik Larsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Vaz in the 53rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Anderson da Silva from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Karl-Erik Larsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Stig Beckman's late challenge caught a TEIXEIRINHA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig Beckman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Stig Beckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SoS FC's Tommy Boylin was substituted for Pedrão de Amorim. SoS FC made a substitution. Kalle Alin replaced Guaberto Tudela. Doni das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Boylin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When SoS FC's Tommy Boylin in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, SoS FC's Marek Jaraczewski got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tommy Boylin managed to get in a good position for a shot. SoS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Boylin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Boylin in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni das Neves saved TEIXEIRINHA FC from getting behind. SoS FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
