After 3 minutes of play, Poli Timisoara's Mauro Primeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniele Bucciarelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner went over the outstretched arms of Poli Timisoara's goalie and right to Dinei Fernandez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Poli Timisoara's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dinei Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Adrian made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiger De Hond in the 17th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Daniele Bucciarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Conte came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merceron United's Daniele Bucciarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger De Hond in the 26th minute of play. Horst-Peter Unterberger hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Merceron United were awarded a corner. Milosz Waselenczuk went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Milosz Waselenczuk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Adrian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Dinei Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Dinei Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horst-Peter Unterberger kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Primeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniele Bucciarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Primeiro in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Poli Timisoara's Mauro Primeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniele Bucciarelli. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. Dinei Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ovidiu Adrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Tiger De Hond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merceron United's Daniele Bucciarelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ettore Conte kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merceron United's zone, Bartosz Erland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniele Bucciarelli came out of the goal and Bartosz Erland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniele Bucciarelli was a little too slow when Mauro Primeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 78th minute of the match Jan Gamza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Adrian skillfully saved the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Pascucci came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milosz Waselenczuk made a great header on Merceron United's corner, it was just that Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian managed to reach the ball for a save. Horst-Peter Unterberger kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Fernandez came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Mauro Primeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniele Bucciarelli. Mauro Primeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4.
