George Smitt thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Cayetano Rito, a very annoying self made goal in the 5th minute which led to 1-0. Cayetano Rito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Backman in the 7th minute. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Cavalcante in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito got control of the ball when Jiang Xiang Sheng tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Cavalcante. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When GeRaÇãO-83's Víktor Cavalcante in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. GeRaÇãO-83 were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Paulopolis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Silas de Lima took the corner. The corner ended in Silas de Lima almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito did a great save. Grzegorz Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Jiang Xiang Sheng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Luís Paulo Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Siekierski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieguinho Amaral in the 38th minute of play forced GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiang Xiang Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Cavalcante in the 47th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Billy Backman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
The wind increased when Jiang Xiang Sheng made the kick off in the second half. Víktor Cavalcante took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Rito. Cayetano Rito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 58th minute, Paulopolis's Cícero Reis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cícero Reis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paulopolis protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cícero Reis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 58th minute, one of Paulopolis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paulopolis. Paulopolis:s Cayetano Rito showed great skill when he stopped Silas de Lima:s penalty. In the 62nd match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Ralf to maneuver through the defense. Brian Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes GeRaÇãO-83 got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Di Natale. In the 68th minute, Víktor Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 73 minutes, Enrique Falcão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulopolis and the GeRaÇãO-83 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute Víktor Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute, Sérgio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Víktor Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the GeRaÇãO-83 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. If Jiang Xiang Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jiang Xiang Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Paulopolis defense, Luiz Fabiano Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Rito. The Paulopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Rito should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Víktor Cavalcante in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Rito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Paulo Sabóia hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. GeRaÇãO-83 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paulopolis for a fine match.
