But to his dismay, Desiderio Hitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. Christian Chucho kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Arsenal's Venancio Unai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alkan Soysaltürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alkan Soysaltürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Mano in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by DONPATO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julio Gonzales was slow to take the kick. During this time Arsenal's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Julio Gonzales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alkan Soysaltürk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Lucas Martínez Quarta fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DONPATO's protests and gave Lucas Martínez Quarta a yellow card for diving instead. They were losing 1-2.

Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito de Sousa in the 66th minute of the match. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito de Sousa in the 69th minute of play. DONPATO's Jairo Francesco was substituted for Lambis Tsekouras.
