Edgar Poe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafik Zoheir Zerara, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Royal Excel Mouscron from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Royal Excel Mouscron's goal looked a bit too open when 任正振 came free, but Edgar Poe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Vladislav Hampejs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Poe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Karl-Johan Persson put in a rough tackle. After 22 played minutes Royal Excel Mouscron got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Johan Persson. In the 23rd minute of the match, 任正振 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Poe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Royal Excel Mouscron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Poe should have stopped the shot. Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Militaru in the 45th minute of play. The Pheonix FC fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Pheonix FC's Vladislav Hampejs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jonas Tunberg made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Poe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafik Zoheir Zerara in the 58th minute of the match. 任正振 took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Poe. Edgar Poe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Edgar Poe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Militaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Poe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Militaru in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Pheonix FC's Tyge Oehlerich got control of the ball when Jonas Tunberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Jonas Tunberg got a free kick in the 70th minute. Edgar Poe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 任正振 in the 70th minute of play. Edgar Poe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Mello went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the match, Rafik Zoheir Zerara notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe. Edgar Poe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thodoris Aggelou in the 83rd minute of play. After 92 played minutes Royal Excel Mouscron got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Hermansson. Pheonix FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
