Aníbal Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Frans Koch made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Aníbal Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frans Koch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Frans Koch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Aníbal Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal Excel Mouscron the free kick. The supporters of Royal Excel Mouscron booed when Maragassume AD - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. In a very dangerous position, a player in Royal Excel Mouscron fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Sanches in the 65th minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stiliyan Bisharov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Maragassume AD - CIMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
