Frans Koch came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by 3City United's Boruc Mierzwa. But to his dismay, Boruc Mierzwa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Frans Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boruc Mierzwa in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Royal Excel Mouscron's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Mierzwa came free, but Frans Koch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frans Koch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boguslaw Marczyniec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Royal Excel Mouscron getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Georg Wiberg hit a great ball. Frans Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 27th minute of the match. Frans Koch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boguslaw Marczyniec's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Boruc Mierzwa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 3City United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to 3City United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aron Musta hit a great ball. Bernt Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stiliyan Bisharov in the 32nd minute of play. Frans Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Marczyniec in the 36th minute of the match. Bernt Ånger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Murray in the 40th minute. Remigiusz Mlekodaj scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frans Koch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remigiusz Mlekodaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remigiusz Mlekodaj made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Karl-Johan Persson got a free kick in the 54th minute. Frans Koch came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by 3City United's Remigiusz Mlekodaj. But to his dismay, Remigiusz Mlekodaj quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Frans Koch was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Boruc Mierzwa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boruc Mierzwa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Dennis Hermansson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to 3City United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dominik Galagan hit a great ball. Frans Koch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Mierzwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Koch was a little too slow when Boruc Mierzwa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Mierzwa in the 77th minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Royal Excel Mouscron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Bernt Ånger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Kiempe in the 92nd minute of the match. 3City United played a much better game than Royal Excel Mouscron and deserved their victory. The Royal Excel Mouscron players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
