The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaspar Alborza might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renán Rocafort. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Alborza ran back to his position shaking his head. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Retana in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Retana in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, INGOBERNABLE F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Intriago Texidor to maneuver through the defense. Jedrzej Kloczko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Renán Rocafort tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Retana, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Retana in the 17th minute of the match. Alfonso Frances made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Intriago Texidor. In the 28th minute Pero Falla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renán Rocafort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin van der Sar made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Martin Retana sent off a good shot on target. INGOBERNABLE F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfonso Frances in the 35th minute. If Jedrzej Kloczko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Retana. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Martin Retana made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, INGOBERNABLE F.C's goalkeeper Renán Rocafort had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pero Falla. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Retana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosero Rioja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ made a substitution. Noel Guerrero replaced Jedrzej Kloczko. After having played for 65 minutes, Martin Retana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INGOBERNABLE F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Retana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. INGOBERNABLE F.C made a substitution. Fidel Martínez replaced Intriago Texidor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Martínez in the 68th minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Martínez in the 69th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Armando Sando notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar. Edwin van der Sar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Martínez in the 77th minute of play. But to his dismay, Fidel Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Aurelio Lara got a free kick in the 86th minute. Alfonso Frances was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Armando Sando came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fidel Martínez in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Fidel Martínez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edwin van der Sar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. INGOBERNABLE F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
