Esbjerg fB's Donato Bordon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bohr in the 6th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Servet Turabi got free with Ron Tomkin in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute of the match, Rune Griffenfeld tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ron Tomkin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Bohr in the 16th minute of play forced Esbjerg fB's goalkeeper Donato Bordon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pelle Hvidegaard charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pelle Hvidegaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ron Tomkin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Teofilo Unai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esbjerg fB's Donato Bordon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Esbjerg fB's Servet Turabi in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baby Snakes's goalie prevented a goal. The attack was good, but when Servet Turabi in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Baby Snakes's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Bohr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Bordon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Esbjerg fB got a freekick which was hit by Zakarias Brejnrod. Donato Bordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Bohr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Donato Bordon made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Teofilo Unai sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute Servet Turabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Tomkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Esbjerg fB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teofilo Unai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Teofilo Unai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Bordon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Donato Bordon made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Teofilo Unai sent off a good shot on target. Baby Snakes's Ron Tomkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severin Torbell in the 61st minute of play. 蔡强天 kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Krasimir Balakov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Bordon skillfully saved the ball. Ron Tomkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rune Griffenfeld's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, İnanç Özben had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Bordon. Esbjerg fB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İnanç Özben was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Baby Snakes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
