Claudemiro Tristão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goal looked a bit too open when Witold Pryla came free, but Claudemiro Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmund Lenertej made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Dušan Vlahović sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute, Celso Eiró got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Edmund Lenertej successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 23rd minute Celso Eiró shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Lenertej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute GD Almargense were awarded a corner. Marco Vieira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led GD Almargense's Celso Eiró to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmund Lenertej despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edmund Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Eiró, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dušan Vlahović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Lenertej read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Dušan Vlahović took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmund Lenertej. Edmund Lenertej dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Edmund Lenertej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Callum Doyle in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, GD Almargense's Dušan Vlahović made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmund Lenertej was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nightmare's goalkeeper Edmund Lenertej, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Marco Benitez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudemiro Tristão. GD Almargense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Benitez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 52nd minute, Celso Eiró got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Nightmare's Marco Benitez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudemiro Tristão. Claudemiro Tristão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. GD Almargense made a substitution. Carlos Vides replaced Filipe Valido. GD Almargense's Alexandre Valadares was substituted for Dušan Vlahović. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Vides in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmund Lenertej saved Nightmare from getting behind. Edmund Lenertej stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Vides's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Eanes during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nightmare's Ademir de Sena was substituted for Witold Pryla. Alexandre Eanes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cyryl Smuskiewicz's late challenge caught a GD Almargense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cyryl Smuskiewicz helped the player get up and apologised. Cyryl Smuskiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nightmare's Guy Grimault got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Cyryl Smuskiewicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. A nice corner shot did that Marco Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmund Lenertej quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 86 minutes of play, GD Almargense's Carlos Vides made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmund Lenertej was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nightmare's goalkeeper Edmund Lenertej, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match GD Almargense got a corner. Nightmare's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Vieira ran over to the corner to take the kick. GD Almargense's Marco Vieira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edmund Lenertej in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. GD Almargense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
