With a little luck, FC Urzicuța's Sandu Vlaicu got control of the ball when Thoralf Blohm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volker Harm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kulabhusana Karabashlykov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when İrfan Attar came free, but Volker Harm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when İrfan Attar got free with Volker Harm in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
