In the 2nd minute, The Tigers's Owen Noble dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 5th minute Folke Skoglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Lindholm shot from long distance after 8 played minutes, a shot that Tim Johnstone with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Frankie Brookes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Harald Fridlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Folke Skoglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Fridlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Downes in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match The Tigers got a corner. The Green Fairies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rio Blewitt ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Owen Noble got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Harald Fridlund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Owen Noble sped through The Green Fairies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harald Fridlund. Carl Downes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Harald Fridlund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to The Green Fairies getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Folke Skoglund hit a great ball. The Tigers's Tim Johnstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Skoglund in the 34th minute of play. Folke Skoglund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tim Johnstone having to make a save. Kurt Myr hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Skoglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Phil Clarke hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carl Downes made the kick off in the second half. Tyrone Meehan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as The Green Fairies's Leonardo Lindholm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tim Johnstone. That made the score 2-1 after 60 minutes of play. Özdemir Enginer charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özdemir Enginer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Tigers booed when The Green Fairies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özdemir Enginer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Mossberg hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Downes in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harald Fridlund saved The Green Fairies from getting behind. Harald Fridlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Noble in the 79th minute of play. If Folke Skoglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Downes in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Tigers had won after a very even match.
