Richard Peso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Real Madrid de Guatemala booed when BEIJO CARNAVAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Olayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Pesos short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Sílvio Luiz Goiano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Richard Peso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Luiz Goiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Richard Peso had several of the Real Madrid de Guatemala's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sílvio Luiz Goiano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Jönsson in the 36th minute of play. In the last second Sílvio Luiz Goiano throw himself and got hold of the ball when Adam Jönsson in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Richard Peso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Sifon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
