With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krish Melin in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wincent Dropinski saved Castanheiro SC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krish Melin in the 15th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Folke Gabrielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Wincent Dropinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Söderberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Alfredo Stefano managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Stefano in the 25th minute of play forced IFK Kik's goalkeeper Folke Gabrielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wincent Dropinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krish Melin in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Alfredo Stefano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Gabrielsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krish Melin in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wincent Dropinski saved Castanheiro SC from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Krish Melin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 minutes, Krish Melin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Castanheiro SC defense, Krish Melin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wincent Dropinski. The Castanheiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wincent Dropinski should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Stefano came free, but Folke Gabrielsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castanheiro SC's Elói Maranhense quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carl Olsman, made in the 41st minute of the game. After the first half IFK Kik were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krish Melin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Robben Spoelberchs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Gabrielsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Robben Spoelberchs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jânio Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Gabrielsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robben Spoelberchs in the 65th minute of play forced IFK Kik's goalkeeper Folke Gabrielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nils-Erik Unesson fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Kik's protests and gave Nils-Erik Unesson a yellow card for diving instead. Nils-Erik Unesson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. IFK Kik's Folke Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Sanches in the 89th minute of play. Wincent Dropinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Bolin in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. IFK Kik walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
