H E P T A N FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arif Bilge Tokyürek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krish Melin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, IFK Kik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Unesson to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, H E P T A N FC's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Rosen came free, but Arif Bilge Tokyürek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Erik Unesson kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. IFK Kik's Folke Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Xi in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Carl Olsman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Bilge Tokyürek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zacarias Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Stig Browall fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Kik's protests and gave Stig Browall a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, IFK Kik's Stig Browall got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Atabey Ökten came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the H E P T A N FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atabey Ökten couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krish Melin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Folke Gabrielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şafak Açıkalın in the 55th minute of the match. Folke Gabrielsson made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Yu Xi sent off a good shot on target. Atabey Ökten made a great header on H E P T A N FC's corner, it was just that IFK Kik's Folke Gabrielsson managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th match minute, H E P T A N FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macit Taşel to maneuver through the defense. H E P T A N FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after IFK Kik's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atabey Ökten took the corner. The corner ended in Atabey Ökten almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but IFK Kik's Folke Gabrielsson did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Şafak Açıkalın kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Folke Gabrielsson. That made the score 0-1 in the 66 minute of play. IFK Kik's Erling Bolin was substituted for Krish Melin. When IFK Kik's Zacarias Nerio in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Yu Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yu Xi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folke Gabrielsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. IFK Kik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Yu Xi scored to the left of an out of position Folke Gabrielsson, making the score, 0-3. 92 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's Zacarias Nerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arif Bilge Tokyürek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 93 minutes H E P T A N FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lasse Ngo who took care of the corner kick. When Per-Arne Rosen fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Kik's protests and gave Per-Arne Rosen a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched H E P T A N FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
