With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s goalkeeper Anastasios Politakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival Vinhas. Dorival Vinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Anastasios Politakis made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Anastasios Politakis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorival Vinhas to make the kick off. Botinho FC's Dorival Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apostolos Moisiadis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Papoutsiadis in the 58th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolos Moisiadis in the 66th minute of the match. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Apostolos Moisiadis. But to his dismay, Apostolos Moisiadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Panagiotis Vrakas lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 72nd minute, one of P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.. Apostolos Moisiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Hílton Magalhães made a huge save. Manos Papoutsiadis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-6 in the 80th playminute. After having played for 83 minutes, Dorival Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Apostolos Moisiadis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hílton Magalhães. That made the score 2-7 in the 86 minute of play. In the 89th minute, Manos Papoutsiadis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hílton Magalhães. The goal made the score 2-8. 93 minutes into the game, Manos Papoutsiadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-9. Hílton Magalhães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
