Carlos Fernando dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the game, Thiago Senna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Comunardo Prandini. Thiago Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Thiago Senna took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Comunardo Prandini to make any attempt to save it. After 47 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Moraes. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gus Weir made the kick off in the second half.
