Gert Örtendahl succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. A collision led to Telge77 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Örjan Stenman hit a great ball. If Patrick Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Telge77 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petros Kalivrousis made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Billy Rydberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikos Tournas skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dhafnospiliá BC's zone, Gert Örtendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Tournas came out of the goal and Gert Örtendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jean-Baptiste Xavier Lloret sped through Dhafnospiliá BC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nikos Tournas. In the 66th minute, Jarl Sjöö fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nikos Tournas, passed just outside the right post. In the 70th minute Jarl Sjöö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Tournas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telge77's Herman Lagerberg was substituted for Jarl Sjöö. Telge77's Jonas Tunander was substituted for Jim Sjögren. In the 94th minute, Nicasio Guijarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telge77's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
