The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Bäuschlein in the 5th minute of play forced Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Nichifor Borăscu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikos Tournas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Owen Colbert got a free kick in the 12th minute. Nikos Tournas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Staikos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gernot Kellner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Tournas having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, International Thunders's Nichifor Borăscu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikos Tournas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petros Kalivrousis. Nikos Tournas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Staikos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rouven Nussli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petros Kalivrousis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Nikos Tournas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Costa in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Loukianos Staikos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Tournas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nichifor Borăscu made a kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Borăscu. Nikos Tournas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibor Bäuschlein, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nikos Tournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 冯亦思 in the 69th minute of play. Tibor Bäuschlein received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nikos Tournas came out and tried to block the shot, but Tibor Bäuschlein slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 79th minute. International Thunders's Mirco Schreyer was substituted for Lionel 柯景亦. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tibor Bäuschlein during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to International Thunders getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tibor Bäuschlein hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Panos Telakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Nussli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernot Kellner in the 85th minute of play forced Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dhafnospiliá BC's Nikos Tournas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernot Kellner in the 87th minute of play. If 冯亦思 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, 冯亦思 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Nikos Tournas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded International Thunders left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dhafnospiliá BC.
