Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Vialli in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sammy Godts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mike Armentier made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Falckner FC's Julien Steuble. 12 minutes into the game, Herald Van de Goor threw the ball into play from the sideline. Falckner FC's Julien Steuble quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After taking down the ball on Falckner FC's corner Gianluca Vialli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sammy Godts quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Suikerklontjes defense, Gianluca Vialli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sammy Godts. The Suikerklontjes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sammy Godts should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Weijnandts in the 28th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gianluca Vialli came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sammy Godts could save by the left post. In the 32nd minute Yoachim Hauwaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Marco Bilbo got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Suikerklontjes's Sammy Godts got control of the ball when Gianluca Vialli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sammy Godts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gianluca Vialli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianluca Vialli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gianluca Vialli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sammy Godts having to make a save. 54 minutes into the game, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sammy Godts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some careless play in the Falckner FC defense, Yoachim Hauwaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Loco De la Maza. The Falckner FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Loco De la Maza should have stopped the shot. Sammy Godts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gianluca Vialli went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Josef Rits charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Rits the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Suikerklontjes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Sammy Godts had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Gianluca Vialli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Weijnandts in the 69th minute of play. Falckner FC made a substitution. Alberto Edorta replaced Gianluca Vialli. 81 minutes into the match, Alberto Edorta notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Suikerklontjes's Sammy Godts. Sammy Godts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's Alberto Edorta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sammy Godts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Suikerklontjes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Bilbo was slow to take the kick. During this time Falckner FC's players had a chance to rest. Mike Armentier thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Sammy Godts, a very annoying self made goal in the 85th minute which led to 9-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Edorta in the 92nd minute of play forced Suikerklontjes's goalkeeper Sammy Godts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Falckner FC were the better team. Falckner FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
