After 25 played minutes El Fortín de Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Alvino Tinto. Santos Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Iureș in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Cipriano Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Inguma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesco Cilli got free with Santos Orlan in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the game, Paunero's Francesco Cilli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Orlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Paunero's Francesco Cilli suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Casimiro Policarpio charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casimiro Policarpio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paunero made a substitution. Vinicio Palos replaced Francesco Cilli. 48 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Santos Orlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Ederono. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Hats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Paunero's Albino Inguma got control of the ball when Delmar Manex tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Ederono in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute Desiderio Brais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Inguma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Aristide Iureș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Santos Orlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delmar Manex could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Albino Inguma made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Palos came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Palos in the 75th minute of play forced El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Santos Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Ederono's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Orlan was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Tadeo Ederono made a precise shot to the right of Santos Orlan. El Fortín de Floresta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Albino Inguma made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Salvador Hats sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Palos. After a defensive mix-up in Paunero's zone, Cipriano Aguilera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Inguma came out of the goal and Cipriano Aguilera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Paunero's goalkeeper Albino Inguma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Stanislao. Cipriano Aguilera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Fortín de Floresta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
