After some careless play in the SE Tijolo 6 Furos defense, Tauro Fontecilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dagoberto Veiga. The SE Tijolo 6 Furos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dagoberto Veiga should have stopped the shot. 6 minutes into the match, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goal looked a bit too open when Orlín Amuscotegui came free, but Dagoberto Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zavier Valle got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Leandro Marsal. After a defensive mix-up in SE Tijolo 6 Furos's zone, Sergi Goyenechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Veiga came out of the goal and Sergi Goyenechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tauro Fontecilla in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dagoberto Veiga saved SE Tijolo 6 Furos from getting behind. After 20 minutes, Tauro Fontecilla made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Dagoberto Veiga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovanni Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Salamón Del Fierro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Giovanni Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Orlín Amuscotegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto Veiga came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by CDU Católica's Tauro Fontecilla. But to his dismay, Tauro Fontecilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Giovanni Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salamón Del Fierro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Tauro Fontecilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Veiga having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goalkeeper Salamón Del Fierro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovanni Custódio. If Cristóbal Lataste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half CDU Católica were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giovanni Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Salamón Del Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Custódio in the 56th minute of play. Giovanni Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauro Fontecilla in the 65th minute of play forced SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Dagoberto Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tauro Fontecilla came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the CDU Católica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauro Fontecilla couldn't finish the play. SE Tijolo 6 Furos made a substitution. Raimundo Bittencourt replaced Juan Alvarenga. Dagoberto Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Custódio in the 76th minute of play forced CDU Católica's goalkeeper Salamón Del Fierro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Rafael Espínola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, CDU Católica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Espínola to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tauro Fontecilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagoberto Veiga was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. CDU Católica were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after SE Tijolo 6 Furos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristóbal Lataste took the corner. In the 91st minute Thiago Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Del Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Pinho came free, but Salamón Del Fierro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ian Bastos in the 96th minute.
