Marcelo Barovero came out and tried to block the shot, but Leontin Nedelciu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. A throw-in in the 9th minute of the game was made by Octav Păstrăv with Alex Lera as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ponciano Abarca kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Nedelciu in the 18th minute of play. Angelo Baciadonne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 20th minute of the match. Angelo Baciadonne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 26th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Ciuvică came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match ABK Black Warriors73 got a corner. River CBBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valeriu Zoreanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Emil Mușătescu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 1-1 became the score in the 42nd minute when Ponciano Abarca elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Baciadonne narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

River CBBA's Juan Funes was substituted for Ponciano Abarca. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Funes made a kick off. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Ciuvică in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind ABK Black Warriors73's goalkeeper Angelo Baciadonne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. River CBBA's Gilabert Bradi was substituted for Hector Enrique. With a little luck, ABK Black Warriors73's Angelo Baciadonne got control of the ball when Juan Funes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelo Baciadonne made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sergio Batista sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Barovero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Ciuvică's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Mușătescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 94th match minute, ABK Black Warriors73 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Txartiko to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of River CBBA booed when ABK Black Warriors73 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Burdulea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilabert Bradi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Baciadonne. ABK Black Warriors73's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The River CBBA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing River CBBA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
