After a rather tough play, FC Brink's Călin Macrea got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Steve Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Brink's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Farmer was slow to take the kick. During this time Mayo's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Samuel Farmer to score against Pompiliu Zmărăndescu in FC Brink's goal. 0-1 after 7 minutes. In the 9th minute Samuel Farmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Symons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pompiliu Zmărăndescu having to make a save. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Steve Oliver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 25th minute, Samuel Farmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gheorghe Herea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. In the 29th minute Samuel Farmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steve Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 32 minutes of play, Mayo's Samuel Farmer made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Farmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mayo were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after FC Brink's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Farmer took the corner. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When William Symons came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Symons couldn't finish the play. After 44 minutes, Steve Oliver made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Herea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcus Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Mumuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mayo's Samuel Farmer in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Brink's goalie prevented a goal. Will Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Jair Bostan fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Brink's protests and gave Jair Bostan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Brink getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jair Bostan hit a great ball. Samuel Farmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pompiliu Zmărăndescu having to make a save. After some careless play in the FC Brink defense, Samuel Farmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. The FC Brink fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pompiliu Zmărăndescu should have stopped the shot. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jair Bostan, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Oliver in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, FC Brink's goalkeeper Pompiliu Zmărăndescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Symons. If William Symons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Steve Oliver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 86th minute of the match Gheorghe Herea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Deacon skillfully saved the ball. Wilfredo Otsoa kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnnie Osbourn, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Mayo's William Symons got a free kick in the 90th minute. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Johnnie Osbourn.
