The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sven-Edvin Unesson might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Edvin Unesson ran back to his position shaking his head. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pompiliu Zmărăndescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Edvin Unesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pompiliu Zmărăndescu having to make a save. In the 11th minute Sven-Edvin Unesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Mule in the 13th minute. In the 13th minute, Wilfredo Otsoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixten Norberg in the 14th minute of play. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Nordstedt went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sven-Edvin Unesson took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the game, Aurelian Voinea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Brink's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fulham Broadway FC the free kick. After some careless play in the FC Brink defense, Sven-Edvin Unesson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. The FC Brink fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pompiliu Zmărăndescu should have stopped the shot. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, FC Brink's Börje Blomqvist threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waldemar Mule, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Nordstedt in the 46th minute of the match. The FC Brink players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fulham Broadway FC were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Herea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fulham Broadway FC's Börje Blomqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Mule in the 53rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven-Edvin Unesson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. That made the score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save FC Brink from getting a goal against them. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Sven-Edvin Unesson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven-Edvin Unesson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Aurelian Voinea got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Johnny Ahlstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Pompiliu Zmărăndescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, FC Brink's Wilfredo Otsoa got a free kick in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Fulham Broadway FC's Sixten Norberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pompiliu Zmărăndescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Sven-Edvin Unesson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Fulham Broadway FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Edvin Unesson couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, FC Brink's goalkeeper Pompiliu Zmărăndescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Unesson. FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save FC Brink from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Sven-Edvin Unesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fulham Broadway FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
