In the 6th minute Jakub Swierczok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Metapalo FC's Gavino Belarmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Swierczok in the 11th minute of play. Gavino Belarmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Houben in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Jakub Swierczok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dante Rafe came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Metapalo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Rafe couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Sauveur in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Belarmo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Black horses's Jakub Swierczok to fire away a dangerous shot which Gavino Belarmo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Black horses's goalkeeper Valdis Felbergs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Baumar. 44 minutes into the game, Metapalo FC's Dante Rafe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdis Felbergs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 47th minute of the match Joakim Kämpe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Belarmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Sauveur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Negroni in the 52nd minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Valdis Felbergs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdis Felbergs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Negroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes Black horses's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacinto Baumar who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Valentin Negroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metapalo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Negroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdis Felbergs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black horses's Atso Joenväärä was substituted for Jakub Swierczok. Black horses's Kristiāns Princāns was substituted for Andžs Redzobs. Valdis Felbergs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 66th match minute, Metapalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Black horses defense, Dante Rafe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdis Felbergs. The Black horses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdis Felbergs should have stopped the shot. If Dante Rafe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Belarmo was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Larry Houben capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Larry Houben really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Black horses's Valdis Felbergs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Negroni in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Eriberto Belarmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Cipriano Sauveur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gavino Belarmo. That made the score 2-2 in the 90 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
