The corner led TORQUE F.C.'s Ermegildo Errolan to fire away a dangerous shot which Erivaldo Hermes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute, Cristian Ieltxu made a precise shot to the right of Erivaldo Hermes. O MOTIVO ⚽'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Erivaldo Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ieltxu in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Hermes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Yan Penha made the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TORQUE F.C.. After a defensive mix-up in O MOTIVO ⚽'s zone, Cristian Ieltxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Hermes came out of the goal and Cristian Ieltxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to O MOTIVO ⚽ getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Dito Maranhense hit a great ball. Sébastien Frey made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Bertoni sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, TORQUE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vito Hoffmann came free, but Sébastien Frey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TORQUE F.C.'s Romulo Estebano got a free kick in the 95th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. TORQUE F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from O MOTIVO ⚽ for much of the match.
