An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Fanuco in the 8th minute of play forced RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Marquez's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After 13 minutes of play, A.A FÊNIX's Elvio Fanuco made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Marquez. With his leg Tiaguinho Pirani managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when A.A FÊNIX's Mario Marquez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 25 in the game by Mario Marquez from a close distance when the talented Tiaguinho Pirani managed to make a qualified save. RIBEIRÃO FC's players were relieved. Mario Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiaguinho Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. RIBEIRÃO FC's Tiaguinho Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save RIBEIRÃO FC from getting a goal against them. Tiaguinho Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Marquez's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Amancio Castulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Pirani made a huge save. Tiaguinho Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Haimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by RIBEIRÃO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardo Dantae was slow to take the kick. During this time A.A FÊNIX's players had a chance to rest. A.A FÊNIX's Bernardo Dantae was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiaguinho Pirani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Humberto Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.A FÊNIX's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Haimar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiaguinho Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, A.A FÊNIX's Mario Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiaguinho Pirani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Hílton Eger's late challenge caught a A.A FÊNIX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
