But to his dismay, Liviu Gogu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 40 minutes into the match, Laocoonte Greek's goalkeeper Ignacio Patrido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Ştirbu. A collision led to Laocoonte Greek getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Teodosio Acosta hit a great ball. Delphine Stars's Vyacheslav Korolev got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Laffitte hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute of the match Vyacheslav Korolev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignacio Patrido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liviu Gogu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laocoonte Greek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vyacheslav Korolev in the 71st minute of play forced Laocoonte Greek's goalkeeper Ignacio Patrido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Patrido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Korolev in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Laocoonte Greek's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Korolev came free, but Ignacio Patrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
