Jacobo Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Söderkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Romo came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Slottshöjden's Hugo Söderkvist. But to his dismay, Hugo Söderkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Clement came free, but Jacobo Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Söderkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Hellbom in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Romo saved CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE from getting behind. After the first half Al-Slottshöjden were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Reggie Clement got free with Jacobo Romo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacobo Romo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Reggie Clement sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Romo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Jacobo Romo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josef Hellbom in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Al-Slottshöjden's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Oso came free, but Adilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
