Kıraç Ak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Goorts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kıraç Ak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philippe-Arnaud Heremans, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philippe-Arnaud Heremans in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kıraç Ak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philippe-Arnaud Heremans in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kıraç Ak saved FC Partizan Tirana from getting behind. Altuğ Sancar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Partizan Tirana! In the 45th minute, Dashamir Januzaj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philippe-Arnaud Heremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kıraç Ak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdi Mehmet Rakim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fre van Eijnde's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
