After 6 minutes of play, The Everett Hawks's Abdi Mehmet Rakim made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eriberto Bonadona was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the game, Laureano Shantala threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mira United FC's Ademar Ramires quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 12th minute, Gregório Neiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mira United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eriberto Bonadona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Mehmet Rakim in the 15th minute of play. After 20 minutes Mira United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Feijo Fresnos who took care of the corner kick. 25 minutes into the match, Mira United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe-Arnaud Heremans came free, but Eriberto Bonadona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, The Everett Hawks's goalkeeper Ludo Vanden Bossche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregório Neiva. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregório Neiva in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludo Vanden Bossche saved The Everett Hawks from getting behind. In the 32nd minute of the game Feijo Fresnos made a throw-in which Abdi Mehmet Rakim played forward. In the 34th minute Philippe-Arnaud Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche got control of the ball when Gregório Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half The Everett Hawks were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregório Neiva to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Laureano Shantala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Everett Hawks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mira United FC the free kick. After 60 played minutes The Everett Hawks got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Shantala. Philippe-Arnaud Heremans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Eriberto Bonadona made a huge save. Gregório Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willem-Jan Grootjans in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Bonadona saved Mira United FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregório Neiva in the 89th minute of play forced The Everett Hawks's goalkeeper Ludo Vanden Bossche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdi Mehmet Rakim, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Gregório Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregório Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Everett Hawks made a substitution. Jorg Van Halssbeeck replaced Willem-Jan Grootjans. Despite being the better team, The Everett Hawks failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
