Stamen Andonov made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Dito Brodel sent off a good shot on target. Astigar Blea charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astigar Blea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilvan Sanches stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gavino Nieves's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Ezequiel Cuervo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobald Czaplicki made a kick off. Astigar Blea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Sanches having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astigar Blea got free with Gilvan Sanches in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Renascer's Gilvan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Nieves in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gavino Nieves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overal Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavino Nieves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobald Czaplicki in the 62nd minute of play forced Renascer's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Nieves came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washington Guerra's late challenge caught a Overal Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Washington Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Washington Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
