When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rein Goethals sped through Séneca Fútbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidio Cordero. If Rein Goethals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Domingo Ilazki fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Séneca Fútbol Club's protests and gave Domingo Ilazki a yellow card for diving instead. Rein Goethalss short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Ovidio Cordero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The de belletrekkers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
