Sören Malmberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Göran Jonasson went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Sören Malmberg made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Brandon Barker sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the match, Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brandon Barker. In the 9th minute Göran Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Cioran came free, but Carman Tinsley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darwin Saville FC's Göran Jonasson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mirel Rădoi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Darwin Saville FC were awarded a corner. Glauco Prado went to the cornerflag to take it. After 33 played minutes Darwin Saville FC got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Prado. Guille Cantero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Malmberg having to interfere. When Cássio Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Club 23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Dracena couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Bogdanović was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Bogdan Bogdanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carman Tinsley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Göran Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Club 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Bogdanović to maneuver through the defense. Club 23's Sören Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Barker in the 69th minute of play. After 73 played minutes Club 23 got a freekick which was hit by Nae Lalescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Jonasson in the 75th minute of play forced Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Bogdan Bogdanović took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Carman Tinsley to make any attempt to save it. When Mirel Rădoi fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club 23's protests and gave Mirel Rădoi a yellow card for diving instead. Mick Wilmott hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Göran Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darwin Saville FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glauco Prado in the 85th minute. Druțu Daniel thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Sören Malmberg, a very annoying self made goal in the 85th minute which led to 2-1. Mirel Rădoi hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Sören Malmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Barker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Darwin Saville FC had played much better football throughout.
