Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 10 minutes Darwin Saville FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig-Arne Ekerot who took care of the corner kick. Flamengo's August Hjortberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Bivall came free, but Carman Tinsley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Kasper Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carman Tinsley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Darwin Saville FC booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Mone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guille Cantero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but August Hjortberg made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Darwin Saville FC's Brandon Barker got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Arturo Espiridion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carman Tinsley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Brandon Barker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flamengo's Doğuş Falcıoğlu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sture Jakobsson, made in the 37th minute of the game. Carman Tinsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Bivall in the 39th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Göran Jonasson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for August Hjortberg to make any attempt to save it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Jonasson to make the kick off. Guille Cantero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kasper Bivall in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carman Tinsley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Kasper Bivall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carman Tinsley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Flamengo's corner Stig-Arne Ekerot fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carman Tinsley quite easily take care of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Kasper Bivall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carman Tinsley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Göran Jonasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Kasper Bivall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carman Tinsley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flamengo made a substitution. Elliott Gustafsson replaced Basílio Ornelas. After 78 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Ornelas. If Brandon Barker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
