In the 17th match minute, Club 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Chodzinski to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Kasper Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 24 in the game by Cássio Dracena from a close distance when the talented August Hjortberg managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo's players were relieved. 27 minutes into the match, Club 23's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Bivall came free, but Sören Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Kasper Bivall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sören Malmberg. The Club 23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Malmberg should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kasper Bivall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kasper Bivall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sören Malmberg having to make a save. Kasper Bivall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Malmberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kasper Bivall kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sören Malmberg. That made the score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. In the 66th minute Flamengo were awarded a corner. Fredric Zander went to the cornerflag to take it. Henrik Kilström made a great header on Flamengo's corner, it was just that Club 23's Sören Malmberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Basílio Ornelas's late challenge caught a Club 23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Ornelas helped the player get up and apologised. August Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The Club 23 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flamengo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
