A sloppy throw-in by Dalmacio Sazon in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Samurai's Wolffram Lobo. In the 22nd minute Allan Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Wu Qi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samurai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Wu Qi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Guiñazú FC's Lisandro Pagomari got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Allan Bivall sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Monico skillfully saved the ball. Clemente Emesto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Vince Di Cola made a huge save. Luciano Ostots was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. Allan Bivall walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After the first half Samurai were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Modrić to strike the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Samurai walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
