An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Gumaro in the 4th minute of play forced ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Bieito Luzuriaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes Los Espinillos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nazario Ispuzua who took care of the corner kick. Nazario Ispuzua made a great header on ALIANZA 1901's corner, it was just that Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva managed to reach the ball for a save. ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Gumaro in the 16th minute of play. Jimeno Gumaro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Los Espinillos FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Zula Munko hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Los Espinillos FC booed when ALIANZA 1901 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Ason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pancho Tabernilla's late challenge caught a Los Espinillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pancho Tabernilla helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ALIANZA 1901 getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pancho Tabernilla hit a great ball. With his leg Bieito Luzuriaga managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Los Espinillos FC's Poli Albizua fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner led Los Espinillos FC's Ricardo Mateus to fire away a dangerous shot which Bieito Luzuriaga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jimeno Gumaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bieito Luzuriaga was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Richie Ason hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Alfredo Tomasini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Escobar in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Silva saved Los Espinillos FC from getting behind. In the 47th minute Zula Munko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bieito Luzuriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Escobar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alfredo Tomasini came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the ALIANZA 1901 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Tomasini couldn't finish the play. When Los Espinillos FC's Jimeno Gumaro in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALIANZA 1901's goalie prevented a goal. Los Espinillos FC's Jimeno Gumaro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Zula Munko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bieito Luzuriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Luis Escobar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Baldomiro Montrell fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Espinillos FC's protests and gave Baldomiro Montrell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Los Espinillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Luis Escobar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Silva came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Escobar slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Barrionuevo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudio Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. ALIANZA 1901's Nazario Ispuzua couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Los Espinillos FC. Marcus Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Marcus Silva made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Luis Escobar took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Marcus Silva to make any attempt to save it. Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 78th minute of play. Poli Albizua took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bieito Luzuriaga. Bieito Luzuriaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Armando Bastia hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes, ALIANZA 1901's Nazario Ispuzua shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcus Silva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ALIANZA 1901 reached it. If Serafino Quilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Espinillos FC's Poli Albizua got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95thth minute of the game Jimeno Gumaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ALIANZA 1901's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
