Dante Tiniebra made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Espartillar's Lucio Gitano. Donato Trentini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Boulogne F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Răuțchi came free, but Ask Stamnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Gavino Iratxo managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Boulogne F.C.'s Mauricio Tano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Răuțchi in the 16th minute of play forced Boulogne F.C.'s goalkeeper Ask Stamnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Espartillar's Gavino Iratxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Bieito in the 24th minute of play. Real Espartillar's Ciprian Răuțchi got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciprian Răuțchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ask Stamnes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Gavino Iratxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Tano in the 33rd minute. Blas Manni hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. A hard shot 37 in the game by Mauricio Tano from a close distance when the talented Gavino Iratxo managed to make a qualified save. Real Espartillar's players were relieved. Gavino Iratxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Tano in the 40th minute. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Llorian in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Real Espartillar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Llorian to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Real Espartillar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ciprian Răuțchi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ask Stamnes made a huge save. In the 53rd minute Candido Bieito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Iratxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Tano in the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Ciprian Răuțchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Espartillar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciprian Răuțchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ask Stamnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Llorian, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Real Espartillar's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Trentini came free, but Gavino Iratxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ask Stamnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciprian Răuțchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciprian Răuțchi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ask Stamnes firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Martins in the 79th minute of play forced Real Espartillar's goalkeeper Gavino Iratxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Boulogne F.C. got a corner. Real Espartillar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauricio Tano ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Baltasar George heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gavino Iratxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Tano in the 84th minute of the match. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Boulogne F.C. from getting a goal against them. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
