The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adriano Carafa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cauan Carvalho having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Carafa in the 3rd minute of play forced ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Cauan Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Delvig in the 5th minute of play. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adriano Carafa sped through ALMA GUERREIRA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cauan Carvalho. Comunardo Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cauan Carvalho came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Velester Football Club's Adriano Carafa. But to his dismay, Adriano Carafa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 18th minute, Adriano Carafa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauan Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Adriano Carafa struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Cauan Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velester Football Club. Velester Football Club's attentive Arkadiusz Piglowski managed to snatch the ball when Frits Frang made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. After having played for 29 minutes, Adriano Carafa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velester Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Carafa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delfim Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ferdinando Scarinci made a huge save. In the 37thth minute of the game Lasse Delvig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José San Martín kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Lasse Delvig made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Cauan Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 51 minutes of play, Velester Football Club's Comunardo Valente made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velester Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilson da Rocha was slow to take the kick. During this time ALMA GUERREIRA's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Velester Football Club's goalie and right to José San Martín. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Velester Football Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Cauan Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Adriano Carafa sped through ALMA GUERREIRA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cauan Carvalho. With a little luck, ALMA GUERREIRA's Cauan Carvalho got control of the ball when Comunardo Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, José San Martín managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALMA GUERREIRA's supporters rose to their feet, but José San Martín was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinando Scarinci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frits Frang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Velester Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Baleren. Ferdinando Scarinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José San Martín in the 85th minute of the match. The Velester Football Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Velester Football Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
