The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the game Antonello Di Toma made a throw-in which Arturo Di Matteo played forward. Qiao Qi made in the 4th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alejandro Martxelin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Martxelin in the 9th minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Alejandro Martxelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capo de Provincia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Martxelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Capo de Provincia booed when Calenzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Sciamanna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Arturo Di Matteo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra. Héctor Barra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alejandro Martxelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Balestra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Capo de Provincia's Conrado Cumsille was substituted for Epifanío Mejia. 37 minutes into the game, one of Capo de Provincia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The excitement rose when Calenzano's Arturo Di Matteo after 41 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. Arturo Di Matteo took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Héctor Barra. Héctor Barra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arturo Di Matteo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Arturo Di Matteo made a precise shot to the right of Héctor Barra. Capo de Provincia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Calenzano's Arturo Di Matteo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calenzano made a substitution. Ennio Daniele replaced Alessio Santini. Capo de Provincia's Luis Jiménez was substituted for Alejandro Martxelin. Calenzano's Alessandro Giocondo was substituted for Yaniusky Pardo. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Carlo Valdivieso got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Calenzano's Pierrot Leenpoels sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Héctor Barra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calenzano's Achille Sciamanna quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carlo Valdivieso, made in the 75th minute of the game. Héctor Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierrot Leenpoels in the 80th minute of play. If Pierrot Leenpoels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. Héctor Barra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierrot Leenpoels went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Calenzano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
