When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Aírton Sousa sped through Zendium's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Jelm. 13 minutes into the match, Zendium's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Monteiro came free, but Jan Jelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Enegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zendium's Richard Enegren in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Telin in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Jelm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mårten Blom was the one to do the kick off. Mårten Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joacim Backlund kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pirani in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Jelm saved Zendium from getting behind. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 3-0 when João Pirani sped through Zendium's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Jelm. When Mårten Blom fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zendium's protests and gave Mårten Blom a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Mårten Blom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Falcão de Godoi hit a great ball. Andreas Telin struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Nelsinho Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zendium. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite got control of the ball when Mårten Blom tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Sousa in the 69th minute of play forced Zendium's goalkeeper Jan Jelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Zendium booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zendium's Alberto Bosso was substituted for Joacim Backlund. Zendium's Dick Bennet was substituted for Mårten Blom. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Baldomero Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. When Dick Bennet came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Zendium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Bennet couldn't finish the play. Dorian Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dick Bennet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Nelsinho Leite made a huge save. When Zendium's Andreas Telin in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vascogoianiense FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute, Gilmar Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Jelm was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Aírton Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Alberto Bosso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nelsinho Leite. Alberto Bosso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Zendium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
