In the 32ndth minute of the game Iker Dei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lofi Girl Portimao's Afonso Mourato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Melo came free, but Tevfik Sabri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tevfik Sabri having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee ignored Astros de México's protests and gave Ivan Libertad a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Astros de México getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Tevfik Sabri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iker Dei got free with Afonso Mourato in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iker Dei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Afonso Mourato came out and tried to block the shot, but Iker Dei slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Matos came free, but Tevfik Sabri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Zeferino Valido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevfik Sabri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Pena hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Julio Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
